A long-time favorite of athletes and staff, the Gecko is our most technical approach shoe. The upper is made of water-resistant suede leather to withstand the abuse of rocky terrain, but still conforms to your foot for a glove-like fit. A lace-toe closure system is extremely adaptable, whether you want to tighten it for technical terrain or remove it for more casual use, and also accommodates a variety of foot shapes. The rubber toe cap is covered, protecting the upper as well as the midsole from abrasion. The Gecko features a hybrid construction: a structured board in the rear for structure and torsional stability, and a sliding structure in the forefoot for ultimate flexibility and sensitivity. The dual-density EVA midsole balances support and cushioning, suitable for moderate to long approaches with a backpack. The new PRESA sole features a medium-density compressed EVA midsole with a solid, compact look. The outsole is made of SuperGum compound, capable of combining extraordinary grip and durability. The large climbing zones provide excellent sensitivity, grip and precise precision.
